Hanging out with the girls

We spent the day with my cousins at Christmas in the Park in San Jose. Afterwards we went up a trail near their house.

Monarch of the Sea

So for Christmas we went on a cruise . We watched a show. There was singing. And then there was dancing. And then there was singing. And then there was dancing. And then there was singing. And then there was dancing. And then I tried to jump off the ship. And then there was eating. And then we went to Catalina. And then we rode around in a golf cart. And then there was eating. And then we played ping pong. And then we went to Ensenada. And then there was eating. And then we took a lot of pictures. And then there was eating. And then... NO AND THEN.

Annnnddd... That's Saturday

Stephanie and Kim

So, my cousins came to visit us on their way home for the holidays. We ate, we laughed, we watched the chipmunks, and stuffed Andy in between the couch cushions. Take a mental picture because we were having too much fun, and didn't take a real picture. I'm working on that.

Chicken and Mashed Potatoes

This is Honey and Andy. They are our babies. Honey is a Cockapoo and Andy is a Bichon. When they lay next to each other, they look like KFC chicken and mashed potatoes.

I got Honey when in college and she has become a big part of my family’s lives. At first my mom didn’t like her, but after a couple of visits my mom would be running to see her before me.

Andy got his name because Christine got me him on our “Andy”versary. He looks really cute and loveable, but he craps like there is no tomorrow and will eat it unless you get to it before he does. I know I’m a Math teacher and Engineer and all, but I don’t understand how he can crap more than he eats. It’s a science beyond my understanding.

Thanksgiving with the Taos

So the future in-laws came for Thanksgiving, or rather the week before since working for retail is unforgiving during the holidays. No regrets leaving Target. We went to Maui Pho, our Asian outlet in Bakersfield, played soccer, basketball, and opened Christmas presents.

I love giving presents and watching the "What the heck am I going to do with this?" reactions. I think when you buy presents, you don't look for the need factor, but the reaction factor. The reaction that makes you stop and remember what it was like to be happy. With that said, we bought Christine's Dad a remote control helicopter. At first we got the "What the" reaction, but after we charged it for 30 minutes, we all went into the living room and played with it for 6 minutes alloted. Christine's dad looked like a little boy playing with a brand new toy he had been asking for all year long. And right there I knew I found the best present. Hope you got a mental picture of that because I was too busy playing with it to take a picture.
